The Calories Burned Calculator estimates energy expenditure during physical activity using MET (Metabolic Equivalent of Task) values. METs represent the energy cost of an activity compared to resting.
Enter the MET value for your activity, your body weight in kg, and the duration in minutes. Common MET values: walking (3.5), cycling moderate (6-8), running (8-12), swimming (6-10), weight training (3-6), yoga (2.5).
The formula calculates: Calories = MET x weight(kg) x 3.5 / 200 x minutes. Higher MET values indicate more intense activities that burn more calories per minute.
